The trim follows the V of the neckline and comes back at the cuffs, and those are the only two places anything interrupts the velvet. Below the V, the empire seam gathers into the bust and the skirt falls from there to midi length. Blouson sleeves finish in elasticated cuffs, frilled at the wrist.
