Loose, or belted. A detachable belt means you are not committing to either.
A flat rounded collar sits above a placket that buttons to the waist. Pin tucks run down the bodice and again above the tier seam. The fit is easy through the body, so the wide self-tie belt has something to gather when you want it and the shape falls straight when you do not. Sleeves finish at the cuff with a button and keyhole. Pockets in the skirt.
Bare legs and a boot. Thick tights when it turns. Belted high, belted low, or left in the drawer.
